Midnight Lights

Midnight Lights is a Western Pennsylvanian band brought together by their time at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. They produce punk-rock/punk-alternative music and play live around the state. I was part of the production team who helped facilitate their music video for their song, Virtual Reality. The band wanted a music video that stayed true to their live sound. We shot the video from three camera angles in the TV Studio and recorded their vocals and instruments via direct injection directly into our audio software, Cubase. I worked as a camera operator and part-time editor for the video. My editing responsibilities included syncing all audio and video tracks before turning everything over to the video’s primary editor, Levi Donaldson. I was also responsible for maintaining communications with the band members. We worked with them throughout the summer to incorporate their critique and feedback into the set of promotional posters that Levi also curated for them.
