The Swoop partnered with the Coalport Area Coal Museum in Clearfield County to retell stories of the town’s rich past. I served as the project lead, piloting our location scouts and developing the script. I ventured to Coalport in the Spring to location scout and prepare for the summer. I worked closely with my partner Mac Mead to develop a script outline. After Mac left for the summer, I beat our outline into a 4 page script. This script went through more than a dozen revisions with my current team before we planned our shoot date at the end of the summer. In addition to the script, I developed a storyboard outline for how we planned to use various media assets provided by the museum in correlation with the footage we planned to take ourselves.
As project lead, I was responsible for scheduling and correspondence with our clients. I touched base with our two clients weekly, working out schedules and possibilities for prospective actors, shoot days, and audio recording days. We scheduled four days in total through out the summer, two where the clients traveled to Indiana for production meetings and voice-over work, and two where my crew traveled to the museum for location scouting and shooting.
